Ok Josh and viewers. Apologies in advance for this rant. New FIFA rankings out today. Canada jumps up from 40 to 33……however Mexico goes up 1 place from 13 to 12 and USMNT goes down only 2 from 11 to 13…WTF??!!?? Arguably maybe Canada could be ranked better like 30th but how in HE double hockey sticks are Mexico and the US 20 spots in front of us? We had a 9 point window. We have taken 4 of 6 points from those jokers. A quick summary of teams FIFA has ranked behind our neighbors include Switzerland, Croatia, Sweden, Uruguay, Colombia, all top African and Asian nations. This matters because FIFA uses their ranking for WC seeding and placement on their pots. Top 7 plus Qatar in pot 1, next 8 in pot 2 and so on. With the current rankings, Canada would most likely be in Pot 4 while our clearly less deserving neighbors would be in pot 2. How the fcuk can this be right??
Alphonso was doing really well & all of a sudden he can't play until April.
Pretty suspicious! I would bet big bucks that Bayern found a way to keep him there & not play for Canada because I heard that they have some huge games right our last qualifying round…
