Fulham line up, bearing in mind Atletico Madrid in 3 days and, players just been away on international duty. Resting Rice and trying Eze with Merino instead. Gabriel and Martinelli on the bench due to jet lag.

With Fulham and Atletico games so close together, I would try as hard as possible to not start any players in both games that also went close to a full 90 twice during the international break. That would be 4 games really close together.

Havertz is the whipping boy for those who don’t understand the game.

Charles do we need to consider MLS and Ethan to play from the start to make them feel inclusive and it would be nice to see Califori to come on if its a tight game.
Charles do you think Arsenal could be training too intensely?
Obviously zubimendi has potentially injured himself on internationals and white wouldn’t of trained too much over the break
But is there a possibility we’re going too hard in training? The number of injuries seems ridiculous.
Havertz brings so much, l8, wierd9 spacemakerbloke. I agree that if he does his 9 thing for 70 mins he makes a messed up defence for gyokeres to torment.
With Havertz back perhaps Arteta will play 4-4-2 and play entertaining football. Kai & Viktor, destroying teams.
Hi Charles, I believe Rice did sign a contract of 5 years with an option of one more year. Where did I read that, well one Charles Watts reported it at the time! See link below 😂
But why you want Arteta to make same mistake he did with Havertz for the last two seasons? Havertz was tried as 8 but he failed and we saw that in previous seasons. He became good when he played as false 9, the same goes with Merino he failed or not good as 8 but very good as false 9. For me Arteta shouldn’t start Havertz & Merino as 8 but as false 9. Depending on how the game goes both can play as 8 for the last 20-30 minutes but never start them as 8
is it me or has this international break lasted 15 years
Hi Charles, with the form Merino is on, how do you think we will utilise him? As a box to box, an 8 or a striker? Off the bench or starting?
It’s going to be exciting when we get Kai, Martin, and Noni back. So many options and combinations to pick from.
I don't see the point of rushing him back. Plenty of games to play.

Any other two subs, give gyok and Rice a bit of a rest ahead of what will probably be the two most difficult fixtures in this block before the next international break

29 is probably the biggest waste of money the club has ever had. A player purchased to replace granit, and was an utter failure at that.

Injury of Jesus shoe horned him into a false nine and he did ok…
Nothing special just ok.
And if he plays in front of gyokores it’s another failed signing for Mikel.
Play to gyokores strengths and 29 would only ever be a substitute for us.
He’s not a proper striker anyways.
He misses clear chances though.
I don't rate haavertz that highly but he is a very useful body with an excellent attitude a winning attitude.

I'm 💯 sure that Gyokeres wouldn't have had such a baptism of fire at The Arsenal had Havertz been fit and he wouldn't have had to play every single game like he has either. Gyokeres definitely needs a rest, he didn't get a chance to get himself properly match fit and he's had nobody to fill in for him so when Havertz comes back, he will probably play more minutes than Gyokeres. I am really looking forward to seeing Havertz back in the first team, he's such a special player and gives us something that Gyokeres just doesn't……. yet.
