This is a diabolical view, Pickford only made one error for England which was back in 2017 he's played in the biggest stages. He saved England with his performances in an England shirt. Whereas the likes of Allison what have they done for their nation in world cups. Pickford even saved penalties in a shootout in the euros at Wembley come on guys I believe he's world class.
Pickford is average but so are the rest of the players it’s a team game so success has to come from a unit all this talk of Southgate had all these great players is tripe he did well with what he had and now you can say the level of player had gone down a bit

A solid performer. I bet Pickford is higher up the rankings of England goalkeepers than Danny Murphy is for England midfielders. By quite some margin.
Pickford won us the Euro against Italy at Wembley – he did his job and saved a penalty in the shoot out. All the other clowns who took our penalties after his save had to do was capitalise on that. They failed. Pickford is at least in the top three keepers in the world.
Murphy was only an average player himself.

English Goalkeepers are not highly rated! Why is that? When they are compared to their counterparts like Spain, Italy and France and Germany and Netherlands their stats are very low. What is the problem? Why can’t England focus on grooming goalkeepers

Honestly anyone of our current goalies can do what he does. Pope, Ramsdale, Henderson, Johnstone etc They are all good goalie but Pickford brought stability to that role/team.

It’s a bit of a none argument. Hes the best we’ve got so… He’s a good keeper, and he’s done a good job for England. Keepers like seaman didn’t have the competition of the best keepers in the world like Pickford has. Plus, Pickford hasn’t been lobbed by Ronaldinho from 80 yards in the World Cup like seaman.
If you use a system of 3 points for every clean sheet 1 point for every save made and minus 1 point for every goal conceded for last season.

When you've worked out that the premier league is slowly killing the English national side then you might start getting somewhere. Southgate saw the trajectory things are going along & it's points to fewer & fewer English players in EPL starting 11's.
England will struggle at the world cup when they have to play better organised , more adept sides & England do t have the skilled operatives to deal with it. Keep playing Sunday league teams is all very well , but it creates a false sense of security. Pickford plays because who else is there? As Southgate noted by the 2030 world cup at least 3-5 players for England will be from championship sides

Jordan Pickford – 80 Caps (not out) 8 straight clean sheets & head and shoulders above any other goalkeeper currently who could play in an England shirt. The bias that Murphy, Dixon etc in the media spew about him is disgusting and not warranted. I think its long past due that some new presenters were sought who are capable of forming rational opinions and not biased malevolence and vitriol based on personal shortcomings.

Danny Murphy is another helmet. Pickford is the only current English keeper to reach 2finals back to back it's a disgrace he gets so much stick it's uncalled for he has 80caps so many clean sheets

Danny is 100% correct. Pickford has stolen a living as Englands GK. He’s probably the best of a bunch of useless GK’s. He wouldn’t have got a sniff in the Shilton, Clemence, Corrigan, Parkes era.

I'm surprised at everyone backing Pickford 🤔 yeah he is a good keeper no disputing that but the reason he has not gone to a bigger club is he has not been considered good enough it's not that he has just chosen to stay at everton. It never gets mentioned often but he has a bit of a problem with his mentality sometimes like he can just start shouting and going crazy over nothing can't people remember at the euros last I think it was the semis he went crazy for no reason to the point the england staff had to go round to the goal and calm him down??
i mean he kind of is.. if england win something when its all said and done and pikfords long retired he'll be eulogized like gordan banks and ahead of seman same with harry kane… in the present we compare but in the end we appreciate
If you talking keepers down the ages. Banks, Shilts, Clemence and Seaman that order up there before Pickford IMO.
