In an interview with RMC Sport, the former Milan forward stated that this season will be his last at the club level:”To be honest, yes — Lille will be my last club. Without a doubt.”The 39-year-old striker, who started the season in France at a high level, admitted that he will make the final decision after the championship.”Right now, I am focused on playing and want everything to go well. Then we will sum things up.”Regarding the French national team, Giroud confirmed that he does not plan to return to the country’s main squad.”I have already had a wonderful farewell. If Deschamps called — it would mean something extraordinary happened (laughs). But even after ending my career with the national team, if the country suddenly needs help, I am not the kind of person to refuse. If I need to be useful — I will help.”Giroud has scored three goals in eight matches for Lille in Ligue 1 and the Europa League.
