Mason Mount is finally starting to look like the player we thought United bought for £55 million from Chelsea back in 2023… and has a firm admirer in boss Ruben Amorim. What is it that makes the 26-year-old so loved by his managers? And can he keep his place in the starting XI despite competition for places from Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo?

  1. Mason Mount will come good if he can stay injury free 👍🏼 Bro's a pressing Monster, links the lines up well, got decent finishing and a workhorse too 🐎 Him and Mbuemo will be essential as 10's in Amorims system

  2. We are too early to judge a player. He has done nothing to call him a class. Running like a headless chicken without any outcome reminds me of another english player lingard who was being praised by this channel in the past. He scored a goal against sunderland and now he has become class. Let's wait for a few more games if he is not injured.

  3. If he has been continuing getting injured at United, it probably had more to do with Ten Hag`s training methods and perhaps the medical care at United, under Ten hag.We had way too many injuries under Ten Hag which I think was questioned. Ruben seems a lot more scientific and data driven so he and his team are probably more cautious when it comes to players returning.

  4. I appreciate this post for the analysis of our players, and what we can look forward to. I'm tired of other channels that are hell bent of bringing our players and coach down 😢. Keep up the positivity…our club needs this to heal 💙

  5. I really hope he can keep this run going and maybe even become a bit of a leader.
Funnily enough, I was watching the 07/08 season review yesterday and the way that season started wasn't dissimilar to this season, it took a bunch of scrappy 1-0 wins in a row for United to get going after some terrible results and very few goals in the first couple of months of the season.
If United are to get on a winning run, then we're going to need the gritty, hard working performances that Mount can give us, and from that, we build up to scoring multiple times per game. Once that momentum starts going, I think United will be hard to resist.

  6. If he stays fit, he's elite. Chelsea won the 2021 Champions League because of how good he was. Came to us and has been injured. When he gets a run, he's an elite player.

  7. I think most fans, certainly the more sensible ones, never doubted Mount's quality. He is a very good footballer. Hopefully he will stay injury free because if he does he will 💯 justify the fee we paid for him.

  8. When he’s free from injury he’s arguably our most important player. Total professional with incredible football intelligence, fingers crossed he can stay fit this season when we playing less games and that can help him into next season when we hopefully have European football again

  9. Mount has always been a great player, the problem he has had at United is that he just hasn't been able to stay fit.

Mount is the perfect player for pretty much any manager. He can play as an inverted wide player, No.10 and even as a No.8. He has tactical intelligence both on and off the ball.
