Martinelli usually struggles with fitness which has been his issue for the last 3 seasons. He can play in cf but he is a proper left winger.
Counter attack player . Gyokeres also the same .
But still arteta don't include that tactics.

In Arteta's first season he played centrally and scored goals easily, out wide just kills his game. Remember the games in Dec 2019
Not only running from the center. But also over 70min, The opponent defender has been tired while he can 100% full speed. If he start at the first 11 squad. He can’t score also.
For me, he is a super sub kind of player to break tru defence line via counter.

We know Martinelli is a CF, not an SS, not a LW, not a RW. He is the on you give the final pass to.
He would be perfect paired with VG with Rice & Zubi as CMs and Eze/Saka out wide. Cala n Timber are great at the longer passes as well as Gabriel & Saliba.
Would like to see the duo paired up to see what happens at CF.
This is Gyokeres' effect.
He draws defenders to himself, thereby freeing other attacking players.
Presently, Martinelli is benefiting more from this.
