More than any other player so far featured the victim of mediocre managers. No matter how much your feelings are hurt by an interview your player did, benching an almost 100 million player as manager is just not on. And playing Rashford insteaf of him at United is just the old English bias for homegrown players establishing itself. No way Rashford was better than him at the time. Considering his success at Everton too, saying that he could only win under Conte seems a bit harsh? Note also that his numbers of goals scored for the national team is almost double that of the Dutch goalscoring record, beating players like Depay, Cruijf, Bergkamp and van Persie…
