Also, keep in mind that some of the defensive stats aren’t as low as they because he’s bad at those things, it’s just because Barca are a team that typically dominate in terms of possession hence our defenders don’t have to defend much to begin with. It’s exactly the same for all top CBs in the top possession dominant sides.
Would’ve been interesting to see his stats as a RB in isolation, where he’s been incredible, as that’s where we could really need him long term due to his on-the-ball qualities and lack of box-defending physicality.
