Hampshire County Council has confirmed that due to lamp technology at a Pegasus crossing on Hythe Bypass becoming outdated, work will be carried out to perform a partial refurbishment of the site.
The crossing, which is near to Beaulieu Road in Dibden Purlieu, will be upgraded to use LED lamps, which are said to be more energy efficient.

Works will commence overnight on October 9, leading to a full road closure of the A326 Hythe Bypass at 7.30pm.
The upgrades are believed to take six hours but the road is scheduled to be shut until 6am the following morning to allow contractors to work safely.
A full diversion route will be plotted from Dibden roundabout through to Dibden Purlieu roundabout.
These works were originally scheduled to take place in November but have been brought forward.
