      Michael Van Gerwen was definately best opponent M. Smith could get… He was very close to be 9 darter as well in the same leg. Amazing match! I used to watch it when I was younger on Eurosport even though this sport is not that popular in Poland however this year – I watched many matches in different moments of the tournament including crazy muting the audience by Price match… It was fabulous! I only regret Peter Wright had no opportunity to play it longer. Anyway – my children were watching this with me, and as a Christmas gift I gave them the electronic dart board. Hopefully we will have fun now at home and who knows… maybe someday they will follow footsteps of our Polish star Ratajski 😉 Congratulations for Smith and Van Gerwen!

      Its happened quite a few times where both players have kicked off the leg with maximums's but then to my knowledge, both players have then failed the 9 dart attempts with either the first or second darts. Never seen this before where one gets within 1 dart and the other takes it out.

      If MvG hit it, then it would be thee absolute perfect leg but it still wouldn't be as epic as the 2nd guy hitting the 9 after the 1st one missed the Double. Only way to improve this is MvG hitting the single 12 or the double 9 somehow for a higher avg.

      That was the most amazing & most well deserved leg of darts ever thrown ,we will never see the like again in such a prestigious event: The World Championship of darts.,I'm still crying in my beer because I knew Smith had the credentials, I didn't like the way people pestered him.1 Final snake bite yelled out to Anderson its yours ,he can't win a final. I stopped my support on him then.Againgst all odds , The downtrodden & abused most excellent
      Player Quietly held his Ground.On throw ,lost 1st set .Then the wonderful Champion had to ask the question on throw.: 180

      ,180 said Smith 180 ,said Van Gerwin, w 80 ,said Smith & then the final showdown ! It can't get any better than this .& I note with great respect : Van Gerwin actually wiped a tear 😢 from his eye ,when Smith finally made a name for himself. I will respect Gerwin for ever from that simple moment. A Champion & a man.

      I’ve been watching and playing darts for over 50 years and never ever did I think I’d witness a leg of darts like this I had tears rolling down my face..it was just brilliant..Definitely one of the best final’s ever played if not the best..

      Can someone please explain what’s going on here? Everyone keeps saying how epic it was but I can’t follow? Why are they going for triple 20 but then goes for triple 19? Both on nines? What does it mean!?!?
