It’s no surprise. Phil Parkinson looks at Conor Coady and probably sees a lot of similarities to himself when he was a leader and a field general as a player at Reading. Coady’s coaching aspirations must remind Parky of his own journey to some degree.
This is top, top class management. It’s really telling of what kind of business manager Parkinson’s is. Coady in his prime was as good as about anyone truthfully, and age gets to all of us. That’s why top end talent in any field turns into management because they are able to contribute in various ways.
