Tottenham were lucky to escape with a 2-2 draw against Bodo/Glimt. Thomas Frank got it all wrong with his lineup, leaving out Kudus and Xavi Simons, and Spurs looked clueless for most of the game. Archie Gray was a bright spark, but overall this was an embarrassing performance that shows Spurs badly need more quality. What we learned from Bodo/Glimt 2-2 Tottenham. #tottenham #kudus #thfc

  1. Frank has a hell of a lot more than what Ange had. I'm not sold on Frank, he's average. Ange didnt have Vdv, Romero, Udogie, Vicario for most of last season. Spurs need a striker, left wing, mid and a keeper.

  2. I thought Frank had a pretty arrogant attitude going into this game when he said he didn't to practice on the Bodo pitch, even Ange admitted they needed to do that last year. This is the third time he's been out of whack with his line up Bournemouth, Wolves and this game were all skewed. Romero being injured was bad news but dropping Kudus for a Champions League game was just plain dumb. I wanted Frank for the job before they hired Ange but he's making some dumb and arrogant mistakes. I'm glad I don't have the same managerial problems to put with United do I'd be batty.

  3. We sold Son… and the attacking is trash… we said he is old… but he is cooking the MLS… who in this team can do the same in the MLS? We got sooo lucky that only defenders are scoring and also we got own goals to tie the game… miss penalty as well…

  4. Kudus brought back the spark.
I really do like Thomas Frank as a person.
But he got it wrong with his selection.
The rotation must stop because in such games you feature your top players.
Thats something Thomas Frank must learn. You just cant rotate your players.
Kudus,Simons and Palinha must all play the important games, yes Johnson scores but does nothing.
    His overall output is shite.

  5. Kudus has created a lot of chances but the forward players havent being clinical enough.

Thats something the coach must Adresse.
Kudus,Palinha and Archie brought the spark.

  6. VICARIO OUT…..GIVE KINSKY THAT POSITION…HE SEEMS MORE CONFIDENT,AND CAN DISTRIBUTE A BETTER PASS,AND COMFORTABLE WITH THE BALL AT HIS FEET …VICARIO LOOKS REAL SCARED AT TIMES….

  7. Xavi and Kudos had to start.. And Gray needs to start getting a few starts..Bergval, Sarr, Johnson, Richi were invisible, Also TF had to make changes at half time, what was he thinking???

  8. I think the players are too concerned getting injured on the pitch and hold back. There should be more prep more on different surfaces

  9. Is the game worth analysing that much? A one off game against a team with a formidable home record on a poor pitch, take a point and go home. Last season we played them out of rhythm and having the home game first meant they had to open up more in the away leg. It's not the same. People need to realise we won't know what Thomas Frank's Tottenham will truly look like until next season. You can either sit with it or sit and complain each week.

We sat here two seasons ago all getting excited about Ange ball after ten games and it turned out to be a joke. I would much rather us do the opposite and start off a bit iffy and build something sustainable. Also people complaining about team selection, if Romero, Xavi Simons and Kudus play on that pitch and get injured for months you would soon be moaning.

  10. I am beginning to think Thomas Frank is out of his depth with decision making, I already noticed with Wolves game this problem by moving players to play in wrong positions, I am prepared to give him time to get things sorted and in six months we should have a better understanding of his managerial ability.

  11. The comments on the performance due to the line up are fair. However the reality is Frank didn’t have Solanke Maddison Kulu RKM Tel available for different reasons in attack. Last season when there were injuries in one area of the team Ange just kept playing whoever was left 90 every week until they also broke. I think he’s better off rotating to keep players like Kudus fit. A point away in Bodo this time of year isn’t bad and he’s still learning about the squad. Obviously winning is better but this approach is much more sustainable for now

  12. Nice to see you all get on the same page only a couple months too late 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ squad is awful especially the attackers! Frank got it wrong too many times this season already

  13. tbf i've been really impressed with Bodo these few seasons especially when they are at home? a draw away for Spurs there is a decent result IMHO but Frank is still learning about the squad and fine-tuning his tactics early days…

  14. I think the "Frank has improved us defensively" is a fallacy. The underlying stats show basically the same defensive stats as Ange had with both VDV+Romero fit. So Frank is if anything just lucky that both of them are fit and available, if he had to resort to Davies+Gray as CB pairing like Ange did, I doubt the result would be any different to Ange's.

  15. Yeah but the ~Tottenham front 3 cost 125m surely Tottenham haven’t wasted 125m ?, maybe they should bought Glint’s front 3 for 30m they would’ve been far better off.

  16. Can't wait until kolo muani is fit Johnson just doset do it for me or the team I rely think this is a huge learning for frank in the CL and like you said Alice up front we are week we needed solanke but his out for a while

  17. Palhinha has probably been tottenhams best player , already 2 goals to memory. He makes spurs miles better so I'd rather nor Wharton.

It was basically a weakened side, so not really a surprise.

johnson always looks bad but like a lampard scores goals , odbert will be a very good player just needs games and richarlson isn't good enough as our main striker but we can't change that currently

So no real surprise, Spurs gambled it didn't work

  18. Your bang about Adam Wharton would be exactly what we need hopefully we can get him in January don't no what his contract is 1 good thing is I like the fact that we are able to come back in games we've done that in s few games this season
