Harry Kane is breaking records for FC Bayern, he’s breaking Bundesliga records, and is en route to being one of the top scorers in Europe once again, leading many football stats and analytics for both scoring and passing. So, is he one of the best strikers ever?

  1. Dude is an elite level playmaker whilst also being one of the most efficient strikers in the world at the same time. 13th on the Ballon d'or was such a slight and he should have at least been in the top 4 imo. The thing I like the most about Kane, aside from him being a fairly humble guy that doesn't do all the flashy celebrity stuff, is he an elite generational talent all without being an elite athlete. He is not exceptionally tall or strong or particularly fast, but he has a great football brain, great football technique and a huge work ethic which has made him the best he can be. In a modern football world that is more and more becoming about physicality, speed and size being prioritised, here is a guy who bucks that trend.

  2. Kane has always reminded me of Muller. Neither really look like a footballer, neither are flashy in possession but both do the basics very well and they are crazy efficient. They are not the players you grow up wanting to be but once you do grow up they make you realise that them hours you spent down the park practicing rainbow flicks and stepovers would have probably been better spent practicing your shooting and passing instead.

  3. I hope he keeps going like this for a few more years at least, and gets 100 goals for England.

That is a record that will likely never be beaten, and he deserves it. it is shocking and shameful how long he spent without winning anything competition wise (not counting player awards or golden boots), at least Alan Shearer got one medal before he retired, and for so long it looked like, short of England winning something finally, Harry would retire without any.

    Good luck to him.

  4. Cut forward to the year 2080 and 87-year old Harry Kane gets a mysterious shot of adrenaline every time he watches the Flintstones which confuses the nursing staff.

  5. If kane hasn't remained loyal to his boyhood club he would be regarded as one of the best strikers to ever play. Possibly in the running with CR7 and Messi.

He could have left for a top club in his early 20s, but instead tried to win for an average one.

If he hadn't, he would have been pulling these numbers season on season with the silver to back it.

  6. England players are overhyped…except for this gentleman who took them to levels england never could have achieved. He is not just a simple tap-in merchant…he us creative, defensive and hmm underrated when we talk of spotlight

  7. Absolutely. After all, the german League is very hard to conquer as we have all seen in the last ~10 years^^ (sarcasm off). Why do you think so many goals r scored in that League. Cause the defensive back lines from all the clubs (except, of course, Munich) are absolutely horrendous dog shit. But people r easily blinded by scored goals instead of questioning how they came about 😂

  8. As a Bayernfan who's seen the Ballon D'or Lewandowski, the Ballon D'or Ribery, the Ballon D'or Neuer… Oh wait…
Who has seen all these greats play many, many games for us – Harry Kane currently performs on THAT level. Even tho he misses actually alot of chances, as ridiculous as that sounds, the way he carries our game plan is insane.
If he gets injured before Musiala is back I don't think Olise alone can save us.

  9. Kanes reputation is squarely focused on the fact that he is a Spurs player and was for his entire career.

The attitude towards Spurs is as a perennial punching bag and the conspiracy theories that certain other club fans have about the media and broadcasters or referees hating them is much more true about the attitude towards Spurs than any other PL club

  10. The absurdity is the amount of assists and progessive passes. And to be honest, Olise and Gnabry are mad shooters, IF they are allowed (which hasn't been always in the past, specially Gnabry has always being converted into a wide players – and he isn't. Kompany lets them), both profiting from his passes, drop into the 10 position and they are naturally urging towards the box. Let's see what happens as soon as Musiala is back regaining confidence and time on the ball.

  11. Of course it's a yes. Only reason he isn't already thought of at that level is club and country hadn't produced trophies. Otherwise we would have been having this conversation years ago. If he didn't leave Spurs, Kane would've been top all time EPL scorer. Shearer never won anything with England, was he not still one of the greatest scorers ever?

  12. Yeah its just the clear bias in football against germany and germans PLUS the silent non selfpromotion based way of Kane….it just leads to this.

But also…Kane has said he wont go back to england, For the second part of your intro. Its more likely hes going to extend his contract actually by at least one year prematurely. (there are talks)

  13. 11 SCORERS!? AFTER 5 GAMES?! When you get a new frontman in the prem youd say you know what…11 scorers in a debut season, not great. But well go from there.
If Kane has even adds 6 more in the next 5 games. He will have more scorers than 80% of strikers AND wingers have at the END of season in the top five leagues…..in TEN games….
That of course would mean that he HALVES his output. Just LISTEN to what im saying here. IF HE HALVES his output. Hes gonna have more scorers than 80% at the end of a season IN 10 GAMES.
