AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Bournemouth, England. The team compete in the Championship. Formed in 1899, Bournemouth have played their home games at Dean Court since 1910.

Bournemouth entered administration for a second time and were relegated back into League Two in 2008, but ended the year by appointing Eddie Howe as manager. Under Howe’s stewardship, Bournemouth won three promotions in six years to win a place in the first tier of English football for the first time. This was achieved with a second-place finish in League Two in 2009–10, a second-place finish in League One in 2012–13 and a Championship title in 2014–15. The club remained in the Premier League for five seasons before suffering relegation in 2020.

Aaron Ramsdale
Aaron Christopher Ramsdale (born 14 May 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Arsenal and the England national team. Ramsdale began his senior club career playing for Sheffield United and signed for AFC Bournemouth in 2017. Following successive loans to Chesterfield and AFC Wimbledon, Ramsdale played a season with Bournemouth and re-joined Sheffield United in a transfer worth an initial £18 million. In 2021, Ramsdale signed for Arsenal in a club record transfer worth up to £30 million, becoming their most expensive goalkeeper.

Asmir Begovic
Asmir Begović (born 20 June 1987) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Everton and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Begović started his professional career with English club Portsmouth, signing for them in the summer of 2003. After a sequence of loans, he made his Premier League debut in May 2009 and was sold to Stoke City for £3.25 million in February 2010. In the 2012–13 season, he played every league match and won the club’s Player of the Year award. In November 2013, Begović became the fifth goalkeeper to score a goal in the Premier League, scoring from 97.5 yards (89.15 meters) against Southampton after 13 seconds, also getting the World Record for ‘longest goal scored in football’. In July 2015, he joined Premier League champions Chelsea for a fee of £8 million, remaining second-choice until his move to AFC Bournemouth two years later.

Artur Boruc
Artur Boruc (born 20 February 1980) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ekstraklasa club Legia Warsaw.

He began his career in the Polish third division with hometown club PogoÅ„ Siedlce. He joined Ekstraklasa team Legia Warsaw in 1999 and, whilst still a reserve, had a spell on loan at Dolcan ZÄ…bki in 2000. Boruc broke through to the Legia first team in 2002 and by 2003 had become the club’s first choice goalkeeper. In the summer of 2005, he joined Scottish Premier League side Celtic. In his five years in Glasgow, Boruc made 221 appearances for the club, winning the league three times, the Scottish Cup once and the Scottish League Cup twice. Celtic fans nicknamed Boruc ‘The Holy Goalie’ for his devout Catholicism. He moved to Italy in 2010 to join Fiorentina, spending two years at the Serie A club before returning to Britain in 2012 to sign for Premier League side Southampton, moving to Bournemouth in 2015 after a season on loan.

  1. What an array of goalkeeping talent Bournemouth had on their books back in 2019!! Over 100 international caps between Begovic and Boruc, and potentially the future England and Ireland number 1’s in Ramsdale and Travers!
