  1. what do you think about how trossard was used yesterday? he was not a touchline winger but also not much of an inside foward. it's like he was given freedom to playmake from midfield and still attack as an inside foward. Going foward, is this going to be the new eze "LW" role so that arteta can also play odegard in the 10?

  2. Arteta swapping out zubi instead of eze for odegaard is a showing that Arteta is improving

and the number of long and over pass we played was amazing and Gyokeres being able to control most of them made it even better

  3. I love 💕 this Formation today From my manager 4=2=3=1 I love this system ❤we have plenty talent for this formation… addition we need to train more for endurance

  4. I'm surprised Newcastle fell for the bait so often in the first half. You see something was said at half time though. Ultimately that bait will soon be coached out of the game as it probably won't work anymore.

  5. We made enough open play chances to give me a lot of confidence. Plan A is cut the other team to shreds like we did yesterday, and if it doesn’t work out, we have set pieces to get us to win games

  6. Rice's biggest strength is his ball striking ability, that delivery to Merino was so impressive, to get it that accurate when he had to change direction of the ball without stopping it.

  7. calling that left-8 "left-sided attacking midfielder" is ridiculously reductive. idiotically so, in fact. there's a reason why arteta was always hesitant/unwilling to entrust that position to smith-rowe (to my chagrin) and vieira and why havertz was initially picked out to replace xhaka: it has a far higher defensive requirement than people give it credit for. people absolutely LOVE to jizz themselves over calafiori and lewis-skelly roaming but never think about how much gap that leaves in the back. that left-8 has to provide cover there as well as for the 6 who typically shades right (both partey and zubimendi) WHILE providing an outlet for the left-wing. the only thing he has yet to completely integrate into his game is making a late run into the box from that left-8.

that is not a simple "left-sided attacking midfielder".
