Gabriel Martinelli came off the bench to score a superb injury-time equaliser and claim a point against Manchester City.

In a first half of few clearcut chances, Erling Haaland had slid home the opener inside ten minutes – a goal that came out of nothing for the visitors.

We created more in the second half, with Eberechi Eze and Leandro Trossard having shots blocked, but time looked to be running out until Martinelli’s superb late lob.

He raced onto an Eze ball over the top before lifting his shot over Gianluigi Donnarumma and under the bar to earn a share of the spoils.

  1. my issue with noni madueke is he hugs the touchline too much. if he would drift inside a likkle more like saka does and shoot, his game would go up 10x. I was literally screen for Eze to move out of the pocket and go for the ball just before he made that assist. when he came on he was too close to the 18yard box which i believe arteta told him to do that.

  2. All of you are talking about Eze Eze, no doubt he's good but for I think the best player Arsenal has sign this season is maduka because what that guy is doing since he came he ha been amazing.

  3. credit to the pass, but that finish was truly amazing. At that speed and that control to finish, wow. Martinelli, that was a world class finish, hope you find your insane form back soon <3

  4. I don't understand why some key players we signed would be on bench, Eze had to start the game, Trossard has always done best as a sub probably coz he has watched the game from bench and knows what to exploit when he gets on. Madueke seriously had to stay on coz he was attacking and playing very well, imagine Eze, Madueke and Saka all on at the same time. Poor squad selection cost us the win. The point drop loop seems to be kicking in again. And the formation may not be favourable for Gyokeres, I see 4-3-2-1 as a better choice rather than him getting to sides sometimes dragging the ball like a winger, he's supposed to stick in the receiving position to get the goals in.
