In this episode we see Paulo Dybala in one of his greatest performances during the 2014/15 season against Napoli. His team; Palermo were newly promoted from Serie B and were facing title contenders Napoli in this mini rivalry (Derby delle Due Sicilie). Dybala assisted the 2nd goal and set up the 3rd with a fantastic piece of skill and brilliant cross into the box which was headed down for a tap in. Although he didn’t score he was an absolute menace in this one against one of Europe’s elites. The game ended 3-1 and Palermo went on to stay in Serie A against all odds. The 21 year old finished the season with 13 goals and 10 assists in 34 games. Juventus signed him that summer for €40M and well, the rest is history!

“The Match That Made” is an established series that I started doing back in 2018. The concept is to show the superstars of today, in their best performance of the season before they got signed to a top club. Of course 1 game doesn’t make the player who they are today but those special performances are the ones that catch the eyes of world watching!

Let me know who you would like to see next time on “The Match That Made”!

  1. This month I will be trying to reupload all of my "The Match That Made" videos that got removed from YouTube last season. Each one of them had a minimum of 1 million views! Aiming for at least 20 videos this month; Camavinga, Saliba, Fati, Odegaard and Top 16 Year Olds in World Football all in the works! 🙏

  2. Dybala is great player . Has similar play as messi. but messi is messi don't compare dybala with him it will injustice for dybala. He is very good but has lots of year to get on messi level.

  3. What a nightmare for defenders, quick turns, runs rings around you, great first touch & control then when you think you're okay he nips in & wins the ball off you

  4. These titles for soccer videos are so wild. “The time he SHOCKED the world” “Ten times Messi was UNBEATABLE.” “The game that made juve buy Dybala” then all of them show an average ass game with lame highlights lmao. God damn is this sport that boring?

  5. Hahahaah sorry to burst your bubble, but thats not how scouting works. Clubs dont just buy players based on 1 match dude

  6. overrated player, coming from a argentinian, this video doesn´t show real talent at all, he never played well at Argentina and i never enjoyed his games on juventus, maybe 1 or 2 matches he played better than ok

  7. onlarda: dybala yı juventus bu maç sonrası aldı (dybala 4 gol atar) bizde:sabri sarıoğlunu kayserispor bu maç sonrası aldı(kornerden taraftara atmayı başarır)

  8. watching highlights after the rumours he was coming to Juve, you could tell he was special and got heart.. now he has shown character as well and he will be with us for a long time. If ANYONE can be ADP 2.0 this is the guy. Loyalty cant be practiced.

  9. It's such a shame that the Argentina team never found a spot for him on the squad…
Ppl wrongly think he and Messi can't play together but it's wrong, they can draw players away from each other.
Anyways he's still playing with Roma, and I hope he can turn up with Martinez in attack in the future.
