  1. Not too gutted to take a paycut and move elsewhere though was he, chelsea are still paying his wages and thats as far as chelseas obligations to him stretch

  2. Why would the club buy out his contract? I'd let him run out the contract before I buy it out, I mean he gets the money regardless but he'll be 32 turning 33 when he signs for his new club, well out of his prime and would have missed his last chance of playing in the World Cup because when the next one rolls around he'll be 35 pushing 36.

  3. Men who talk about other men's pockets are sad! Chelsea offered him the money…that's their problem, not Sterlins. He's staying in London for family reasons….as noted when he signed for Chelsea…so suggesting he should then leave the country or go back up north is ignorant and stupid!

  4. Chelsea are cheats, trying to gain the system by placing players on very long contracts and getting rid of them for a profit. We as fans turn a blind eye to this and call it business. This business model is wholly unethical. There is no justification in treating players like this even though they are making millions. These clubs are making billions that is why they enter into such contracts. It is naive to expect players to take a pay cut when their employers are making millions. Ones football career is short so they need to make hay while their sun is shining. Chelsea can deal with this player situation by paying the players what is due to them and letting them go on a free. But no they are demanding sale or transfer of these players while the player loses from a reduction in wages. In addition stop trying to gain the system by buying so many players on long term contracts. Chelsea deal with the consequences of your action (business model) in an ethical manner. Contrary to some opinions this is not how one conducts business. Too often in the western world we have lost or are losing our moral compass and normalizing such behavior in favour of narrow self interest and money.

  5. "Dehumanize!!!" FU.
Remember the world we are living in (look at Palestine), paid millions to do nothing.
These guys can do anything they want, take the money and not play, not take the money and play for next to nothing.
This conversations is depressing and disturbing.
STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS, you are belittling real human suffering….

  6. Sterling and these guys are on the same boat. They also get paid to sit down and talk about football, not that hard of a job They are out of touch with reality

  7. "A true coach should be like a father to the team — someone who doesn’t discard players when they struggle, but instead guides them toward solutions. It’s sad to see how players are often treated nowadays, even when they have attitude issues. At the end of the day, coaches should be the ones showing greater maturity, because leadership is about patience, understanding, and growth — not rejection."

  8. Stirling could have moved anytime and Maresca's comments burned Sterling's greed over playing. And Bent is stupid in the head, here is all your money and u dont have to stay.

  9. This is very interesting, when the likes of Isak and Gyokeres want to leave a club, the sentiment is "you have a contract, honour it", but when a club does not want you, "we'll frustrate you to get you contract out of said contract"

I think we need to be fair on both sides

  10. Pfa should bring the hammer on chelsea, this sudden attack by the media on the player should be investigated too. If chelsea did break the agreement, they should be banned from signing players for 2 years. Mersca is dehumanizing sterling and disasi. No on etold chelsea to sign those players on high wages

  11. I’m sorry to say but Maresca is completely right. That comparison with his dad being a fisherman is a fair. It’s not like the club will stop offering them help in other ways too. At the end of the day both players had a choice and no one should criticise them for choosing money over playing as you don’t know their background but at the same time the players cant complain about being in any “bomb squad”.
