This is the best side that England have had for a minimum of 20 years and we are potentially going to waste this golden generation on a manager who in incapable of winning silverware. Grealish, Foden, Sterling, Kane, Mount, Rice, Walker are all elite footballers, some of the best in the world at what they do and we are going to win nothing unless we make a drastic change and fast.

  1. Think Southgate is still the best person for the job, due to the way in which he's turned England around and for the simple fact that it's too late to replace him with anyone at this stage….his tactics would be great if England were 3 or 4 goals up in a match and there is clear daylight between the teams, but playing defensively when behind, level or even at only 1-0 is asking for trouble, especially against stronger teams e.g. France.

  2. He is same as all football average or below intelligence, things he says shows how bright he is, too woke gets in the way with the game, Great team better manager we need

  3. Southgate is garbage! But so is the England squad, golden generation had 7 or 8 world class players this 1has Harry Kane and possibly Trent every ones else is just decent.

  4. I disagree with the James Justin point… what if Chilwell doesn't return to his old self… and also Shaw… James Justin can play left back very well.

  5. Southgate is a weak man, and when you have a weak man leading a group of men, you have weak leadership. And this is why England will never win a World Cup until they have a manager that is both strong minded and there to win.
I've never liked the man as a person, in fact, i think he's a determent to the English side, which like you've mentioned is quite probably the best England side we've had in twenty years. But without that strong leadership to match that strength, it means absolutely diddly squat.

  6. Southgate is more scared to lose than he is eager to win. No matter the opposition he sets up like he’s about to face prime Messi, CR7, R9, Ronaldinho, Pele, Cruyff, Maldini and Beckenbauer all in one team.

  7. I still have not got over that final last year – such a missed opportunity. Early goal, dream start, Mancini flustered (hair everywhere) Italian players arguing with each other. If we had just gone for it more in that opening 30 minutes we would have wrapped that game up. But what did we do. Give them the ball, let them calm down and have all the possession. Complete and utter surrender. And the substitutions were an absolute joke both in terms of timing and who was on the bench to start with. OUT OF HIS DEPTH at the point end I'm afraid. Still at least the FA will be happy – bunch of incompetent clowns – they are the real reason we have not won anything since '66…..
