  1. he makes so many good runs and keep getting ignored by odeegard who always looking for safest options, given martinelli's defensive efforts in almost every game, those runs getting ignored 85% of the time will eventually take its toll on anyone, martinelli should be getting the ball immediately he makes those runs 3 or 4 out of 5 times, that's why I think with eze in the middle, martinelli will shine, he will get passes that leads him straight to goal, he's similar to prime sterling, they struggle when they have to think, just give them the perfect pass and they will score 9 times out of 10

  2. Having Gabriel Martinelli in the squad has become liability more than anything else for Mikel Arteta. The Brazilian is on relatively high wages of 180,000 pounds per week. In terms of contribution, he is no where at the level of Bukayo Saka on the right. Because of his existence in the squad, Mikel is unable to invest on a elite left winger whom they desperately need as both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are only decent deputy for that position. But not good enough to be a starter in that position for the current Arsenal team.

  3. Fans talk more about Martinelli and rightly so, what about Odegard, this guy is not performing too, both are holding us back. With the two of them is like we have been playing with nine men.

  4. If we appreciate Martinelli's one dimensional running and his defensive capabilities then we should play him as RB.. an overlapping fullback role may suit him to let Saka cut inside.. Timber and White get injured easily after all..

  5. Martinelli might not be the problem , Ode is the player that need a look. Very slow in transition, decision making is very bad, he only know how to make pass on the right side of the field, if he know how to released players quicker that will solved our main problem

  6. I have a felling Martinelli plays more like a LB in a LW position and when he tries to attack with the ball his head is always down and cant dribble to the right. He is just a predictable player.

  7. He's starting to look like a failed winger everyday that being said he has a good finish in his locker and a decent burst of pace. Perhaps the CF position is the last option for him, I think he will succeed in this role.

  8. I love the defensive work he does for us but Gabby Martinelli needs to get physically stronger. Unlike Bukayo, he gets bullied off the ball far too easily and far too often. I rarely ever see him pull a trick, cut inside and unleash a curler for instance and I'm not sure why. He seems to have lost a bit of confidence, but I know there is a player in there for sure.

  9. He's had 3 years to learn some new moves, maybe hire a coach to work with him and learn to play his position better. I don't understand, he's rich enough to hire anyone to help him get better and he hasn't.

  10. Every player can have one good season but this is a world class league. High quality Managers, coaching staffs and analysts of oppositions team will find figure you out- esp about strength and weakness eventually and definitely come up with plan to restrict your influence in next season. This is what happened with Martinelli after 2022-23 season. In this case if you have to use football intelligence show adaptability and sense to listen your manager's advice which surely help surprass these challengers. Like Saka did. This is the difference between a good player and great player. Martinelli couldn't surprass that level.

  11. Granite Xhaka brought a counter personality and instinct and impulsivity to our attack that martinelli thrived off of. I know XHaka wasn't at the technical level that we need, but we are ,missing that spark that he would bring in his last season.

  12. I dont think martinelli has a good shot on him like everyone has been saying in my opinion,
Each time this past year whdn he takes a shot you can see he wants to curl it bottom right nut he just ends up kicking it straight into the goally , barely ever crosses and when he does its to no one .
