I remember watching this. I knew that is a game which will be remember for ever. That was a football history. Mighty Argentina with Diego – World Champion bested by "underdogs" from Cameroon (although in Africa there were big) finishing game in 9… and scoring when playing in 10. Incredible feat. I was so happy for Cameroon that day.

Back in the day this was even bigger sensation than Saudi Arabia's win against the current world champions in the 2022 tournament. When this 1990 tournament went on, it didn't turn out to be that amazing because that Cameroon team was absolutely amazing. They really brought Africa to the knowledge of footballing world. And they deserved to win against England in the quarterfinal too but they didn't bother to defend that much. Great team. Also the 2022 Cameroon team was great. PS: Nothing to take away from Omam-Biyik's great jump, but absolutely HORRIBLE goaltending by Pumpido in that goal. PS2: Is Kunde (who plays in the current Cameroon team) the son of Emmanuel Kunde who was in this legendary 1990 squad?
