Manchester City expert Steven McInerney from Esteemed Kompany shares his thoughts on the latest injury setback for defender John Stones, who withdrew from the England squad last week with a minor muscle issue.
Stones, who has had his fair share of injury problems for some time and missed over 30 games in all competitions for Man City last season, has started in each of the Citizens’ first three Premier League matches of the new campaign, but he has now emerged as a doubt for Sunday’s Manchester derby.

Stone's has made a game changing error in each of the last two games – bungled offside attempt against Spurs, and a terrible clearance/pass against Brighton. Each error cost MC the game. Look at his current performances rather than his efforts from 2 years ago. Regarding Stones, you are living in the past.
