Tottenham have completed the loan signing of João Palhinha – and here are my honest thoughts. Spurs needed steel and experience in midfield, and Palhinha brings exactly that. A Premier League-proven duel winner, an OOP monster, and the perfect Bissouma replacement for Thomas Frank’s new system. In this video, we break down his strengths, why this is a smart low-risk deal, and how he could be key in Tottenham’s Champions League push this season. I think this deal being a loan will allow Spurs to get the DLP midfield profile they need next summer while frees funds for them to get their number 10 and another forward this summer. #tottenham #spurs

  1. I really love women that knows football very well, if I have opportunity to meet her I will just shake her hand and tell her to keep it up, Good analysis dear, keep it up.❤

  2. Palhinha is a Portuguese International 6 ft 3 inches tall, mean and tough, towering figure that will inspire other players around him to fight and win more games. We were weak in midfield physically last season. A true leader like Romero who does the same in the backline. I think he is good for at least three seasons not just one. A great signing and if he can reproduce his Fulham form, then just imagine him and Bentacur dishing out the punishment together next season. Cant wait.

  3. Palhinha shines in the Premier League more with teams that don't always have all the possesion. At Bayern they always have possession in the Bundesliga and he is a more defensive player. Good fit for Spurs under Frank.

  4. following my negative reply to your last post, I had to post again to say well done, that's the content that makes this site so good, good reasoned out analysis, good reasoning for why the deal has been made (and I agree with you for the record) and all in all a great watch.

  5. As this stand, it's going to be very tough to finish above Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Villa. So 7th and a cup run would be a very good first season, especially if the young players such as Gray, Bergvall, Moore continue to develop.
