Internet went way too hard on maguire but it was a bad period as a team for utd literally every game in that 6 months period unlucky bounces, own goals and poor passes meant the internet was lining up to post non stop but the Uganda parliament using Maguire as an example was too funny 😂 good thing he has a tough skin to handle it all.

As a Scot who was in the crowd at Hampden that night, can safely say the jeers from Scotland fans were purely that, banter. The boy would have usually shrugged off that sort of thing, but given how vile the media down south had been to him for about a year prior, I’m not surprised to hear his confidence was broken. He comes across as a great big guy any time I’ve heard him interviewed, and hasn’t had a bad career into the bargain
