Jaime, I get it, MATS is been petty but your anger is misplaced. It should be towards the board and not MATS. The board created this mess like they did the situation of Messi and all the guys before. Someone need to stand up to them even if it hurts the club in the short term. We can asking players to sacrifice for the club even when the board deliberately and unnecessarily screw them over. The board has been planning the replacement of MATS for months but chose not to make him aware that he is now surplus to requirements this season. And now we are all just expecting him to roll over and pack his bags, a couple of weeks before the season starts and move out of the city he called home for 11 years just like that as a sacrifice for a club whose board didn't have the decency to give him to inform him ahead so he can make the necessary personal adjustments. Besides, the board also use the media to slander him into getting out. Is that how you treat someone you expect to signoff their salary slot to register their replacement? Laporta and this same board did the same to Messi to the point he chose Inter Miami over returning to Barca because he couldn't trust anything the board says.

I don’t like how we’re basing our opinions on the matter on pure speculation and reports. Honestly I would have expected better from Jaime here. The real problem here is the club and the way they have operated in the past years. Even with Laporta, over promising and under delivering, appointing unqualified people for important roles and yet we want to make MATS the scapegoat for their sins.How is he to blame if the club keeps making signings that they can’t register and now he’s the bad guy because they can’t plan properly?
