Simon Kjær (Dat. Simon Kjær; March 26, 1989, Horsens) is a Danish footballer, central defender of the Italian club Milan and the Danish national team.
Qier made his debut for Palermo on October 26, 2008 in an away match against Fiorentina, in which Palermo won 3-1 and the Dane entered the field after the break. On November 2 of the same year, he scored the first goal for the club, hitting the Chievo goal. In the 2008/09 season, Kier’s salary was, unilaterally, doubled.
In January 2010, several English teams, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, became interested in Kier, who offered £ 11 million for the transfer of the defender. Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini said that Qier will leave the club this summer. On June 29, Zamparini announced that Kjer, along with teammate Edinson Cavani, was moving to Tottenham Hotspur, which had paid 35 million euros for the transfer of both players. The management of the English club has denied the words of Zamparini.
On July 8, 2010, Kjer moved to the German Wolfsburg, signing a contract until 2014.
On August 25, 2011, he transferred to the Italian club Roma on a leasehold basis with a possible purchase option.
On July 5, 2013 he became a player of the French club Lille. On June 17, 2015, Kier moved to the Fenerbahce club.
On August 2, 2017, the player changed Fenerbahce to Spanish Sevilla, with which he signed a four-year contract.
On September 2, 2019, Simon transferred to the Italian football club Atalanta on a one-year loan.
On January 12, 2020 Simon Kier became a Milan player. Later, the Rossoneri signed Kiera on a permanent basis. The parties signed a contract until the summer of 2022.
