      Don’t think the HandofArsenal tweet was legit. Lots of credible sources coming out saying Arsenal are prepared to pay 50M for Eze.

      My point still stands Arsenal must also sign a top LW. Leao is the best option in my opinion.

      The Charity Shield has become quite an important final to win in recent years, the reason is because it’s the first piece of silverware a club can put in their trophy cabinet prior to the PL season kicking off!
      Let’s not kid ourselves with all this down playing of the Charity Shield, Liverpool would have loved to have won that game yesterday as would most clubs in the PL.
      THE Charity Shield has become a statement trophy of intent!

      Arsenalay not need a singer and I have no idea why people think Arsenal needs a left winger. The truth is you can't know what the coach is doing on the left side unless he tells you. I coached football and never played two wingers. Played a broken wing bird – a winger on one side and a side mid on the other. The fact that Arsenal's left side does not exactly reflect it's right side in support tactics is a hint Arteta left is not meant to be a mirror of the right.

      To be honest, I don't think Eze is what we need to challenge Liverpool, I'd prefer us to go for a proper, bona fide specialist left winger. If we brought in Eze, it would stifle the progress and development of Ethan Nwaneri and none of us want that, he is supremely talented and has proved that he can do that role well.

      True about that alt., hypocritical trophy narrative for Arsenal: when they win or reach the final for the Europa League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup, or Community Shield, these competitions are dismissed as having no value – unlike when competed for or won by Man City/ Liverpool/ Spurs/ Man Utd/ Chelsea/ West Ham/ Palace etc.
