Liverpool beat Aston Villa 3-1 on their return to Premier League action for the first time since the World Cup break but the performance of Darwin Nunez has left Liverpool fans and football fans with plenty of questions.

  1. Thank you for pronouncing Darwin Núñez's name properly. It's kind of the same when Firmino's chant is "Si, Senor", when it's a completely different language. It should be "Sim, Senhor", but most of Europeans (Yes, I am one myself) are too ignorant to even Google Translate it…

  2. Hes really not struggling, this is a myth he has 9 in 21games, that's good numbers.
Anyone remember Suarez?(memories are clearly quite short so I have to check) his first 6 months were not that brilliant, he then took off and showed himself to be phenomenal

  3. Nunez will be fine. He's making major contributions and his goals will come. He's missed chances but he never puts his head down, he works hard and his teammates benefit from his work ethic. Stop projecting on this guy. He's doing good work and will score more as he goes along.

  4. I don't think Nunez is a flop. Nor do I think he is a hit. It's too early to tell. He's still very raw. But his pace, and work rate are promising! Nunez reminds me of Gabriel Jésus when he 1st signed with Man City. Struggled with the language, took time to adapt, but eventually came good. Darwin's ceiling is obviously higher than Gabriel's. But similar entrances into the EPL. After watching Manchester City vs Liverpool Carabao Cup game… I came away convinced Liverpool will finish top 4!

  5. The fact that he misses so many chances is that he is always good with his movement and positioning that's why he gets so many chances….his number of goals so far is good and he will only get better just give him time to settle….

  6. The decision making and finishing will get better as Darwin gets familiar with the team mates and the league itself. It's also heartwarming seeing him play with that childlike enthusiasm. Klopp must have adored his commitment.

  7. Is he really struggling? I hate this narrative. He gets multiple chances a game, is a handful, never stops running, goal to game ratio is actually pretty good. Judge him next season
