  1. It depends on the wording of the final FA Statement. It might not imply that Paqueta is entirely innocent, indeed it could suggest plausible culplicity by association. Rather than The FA the ones I would sue (if I were the club) are Betway – after all they caused all this in the first place. I'd take them for at least 10 million.

  2. The FA should now suffer financial retribution to WH and Paqueta, given their over zealous attempt to find him guilty and cover their backside. The extent of time, and apparent overkill effort , made by the FA is self evident of this . Those FA responsible should also be sacked.

  3. If it is true great news we stuck by him stick by us till Jan then get a pay day now we need to sue could have sold to Man c scupppered by the FA so pay up if he is clear stick with us till Jan said yeasterday then get you pay day

  4. Russ – do you think the club will be sue the FA for losing out on the 85m transfer fee? I certainly hope that both the player and club hold the FA financially accountable. I think it's disgusting the way the FA handled the case, in particular the way it took 2 years to conclude and how information from the tribinal was leaked to journalists.

  5. "We've got a bastard Brazilian " i won't hold it against him if he leaves, as he has given us some great times. glad for his health it's sorted now.

  6. Obviously Lucas is entitled to recover all his costs covered, plus compensation for 'distress'. WHU, should he be sold, should sue for the difference between his 2025 sale price and 85 million + interest. Better still, he stays and plays to his true ability.

  7. We're not going to get anything like a decent transfer fee going to Brazil. Negotiations take time to sell a player so I'm hoping we don't sell him until we get at least 6 months out of him where he can play with the weight off his shoulders. January might be the time when we can get the best value for him to a club that can give us a better fee than a club in Brazil.

  8. I'm happy for Paqueta but now that he's cleared, the 30m the Brazilian club wanted to pay must go up. We can't replace him for 30m. We paid about 38 million Pounds for him so do we sell at a loss now.

  9. I hate to say it, but it would be the most west ham thing to ever happen if he got injured in that friendly tonight. πŸ˜… Give the lad a lucky rabbit foot!

  10. Very happy for Paqueta and I hope him and the club sue the hell out of the FA, but honestly happy that Paq man can finally move past this BS and for me I hope he stays at the club we could definitely use a clear minded Paq in our midfield COYI

  11. Paqueta will stay put because somebody playing in Brazil rarely gets picked for the national team let alone a world Cup squad.. And the first gringo Brazilian manager Ancelotti has already omitted Saudi playing Neymar from his first squad.

  12. Sorry but he ain’t going nowhere unless West Ham get the 70 80 mil he was gonna be sold to Man City to before this typical scummy sully again prob will get a back handed when selling him to pocket and then plead poverty

  13. why not just await until the official announcement – what are the chances that the informant has got it wrong. Going to look really stupid if they are wrong βš’βš½
