Surprised they have had to look that far back when there are two very recent examples. Saul Niguez at Chelsea and Arthur Melo at Liverpool. Those were two stinkers. Melo I think played like 13 minutes all season long and all came in one game against Napoli. Couldn't even make it of the bench in the premier league even in the last game when there was nothing to play for.

Kim Källström scored a decisive penalty in a FA cup semi final and Arsenal went on to win the trophy. I can think of other worse loan spells even amongst Arsenal players – Denis Suarez or even Junichi Inamoto get the dishonor for me
