henderson could not rest on his laurels as Van Dijk was constantly breathing down his neck….. Klopp is a clever manager, from forwards to midfields to defenders and even goalies, there were fierce competitions among liverpool players in all departments… so actually liverpool players weren't playing so diligently for the club, weren't for Klopp too, they simply were all doing it for their own survival…hehe 🙂

I have to admit. Even as a supporter, I gave him flak as a CDM, but in 19/20 he was excellent in a more foward role.

I am 50 and have seen great midfielders at Liverpool and for years I have said that my all time ideal cm partnership would have been Souness and Gerrard. If Hendo continues to deliver and lead as he has done for a few years now, I think he would break into that duo and play alongside Gerrard. This is a really good video and the music makes a nice change from the usual rubbish that often accompanies such videos. Well done and thanks. YNWA

Hendo is an attacking mid if he plays CM it will be more to attacking, he can’t play CDM, when it comes to defending he’s style is pressuring opponents with the stamina he has, it was halfway thru the 18/19 season that klopp finally decided not to put him in the CDM role, hendo until now whether it was CDM or CM or CAM that he plays he still can’t hold the ball, he tends to throw away the ball very quickly when under pressured, but at least with he’s new role as a CM/CAM is good enough why cause whenever he gets the ball he will quickly pass to the front and its non stop creativeness…
