Really was an abject performance Sunday, totally opposite of what we have come to expect from an Ange side hopefully it's just a blip
Sorry Natasha we have not got 2 quality players for every position,some of those coming in have been very poor,maybe we aren't as good as we think we are
We still do not have a midfield brawler in the squad. The likes of Lundstrom for us is going to be a prerequisite for future "in your face" type games like on Sunday. BTW everyone should stop dissecting and analyzing the apparent reasons for the loss. It was all down to those pallid, nondescript, washed out taps !

One factor I haven't heard discussed enough was that teams who played in UCL across Europe lost domestically. Juventus, inter, Bayern all lost to weaker opposition as well. Can't just look at sellick in isolation
The team lost the game on the flanks. The main problem that continues on from last season is the lack of tackling by the defenders. In particular, the wide defenders are just mobile traffic cones. Good players will just bypass them. The first goal from the weekend came from an unmarked cross. The left back was a long way out of position. The second goal came from a long throw-in. There should have been a wall of defenders. There is only 2 and 1 is a pee-wee. Mooy should be played as an attacking midfielder.
