there is no way he gets the nod ahead of Bradley, more a backup as Bradley appears to be vulnerable to injury, even maybe cover for higher up the pitch on occasion
i think they signed him for team depth because it was a cheap deal and homegrown and Bradley will be the favorite player
Would love to hear you expand last year's thoughts on Wirtz at Liverpool. With Frimpong, Wirtz, Mac Allister, and Salah being 5'9" or shorter and awkward in the air, I'm concerned with our lack of size.

10:30 what’s interesting about that long passing stats is that if Trent dispatched 10 passes per game and only 22% were accurate, it means for every two accurate long passes he lost possession 8 times per game!!!
If Frimpong only tries a long passes once per game and his accuracy is 22%, it means he tries one long passes once per game and loses possession once per game like that!
That’s another way of looking at that stat!!
From what I see in the stats, Frimpong is much more active in the game trying to dribble much more than Trent and provides many more crosses as well, thus his assist contribution is actually higher!
He’s also challenging for more aerial duels which means he’s involved defensively and is marking someone, unlike Trent who’s generally losing his man and is not anywhere near the action to do aerial duels!!
So, in studying the stats and the eye test, I’m more confident with Frimpong playing RB than ever felt with Trent!!
Being present and trying to defend, but failing is one thing, leaving a gap in the RB position and jogging back and leaving the CBs to cover for you is another!!
I can live with the guy trying his best! I couldn’t tolerate Trent’s lack of seriousness when it came to running back to defend his position! He was acting like he was 36 year old Cristiano Ronaldo at 24!! Like, bruh! You’re not Ronaldo or Messi or even Zidan! You’re a right back!! Get over yourself and hurry back like Robertson and any full back worth their salt does!!
Dumfries and Hakimi have higher outputs and sprint back to defend! Roberto Carlos and Marcelo did their job!

Also mental profile is important. Incredible person well loved by fans was a leader critical part of a team that created history in Germany going invincible winning a treble. People over look these things but character leadership mentality is something fans overlook. If you look around our 11 everyone is either a captain or some kindve cult hero in their country. If you can firm the pressure of taking your country to their first major tournament / World Cup you can firm the pressure of living up to expectations at anfield which is to win.
I think bradley is trusted, i just also think slot loves a variation. Hes not scared to go all out attack and potentially lose to try to win. That doesn't mean he doesn't care about defending though. Bradley and frim will both have their value based upon the dynamic of the match so i can see them being interchanged fairly often starting and being subbed.
i think the biggest difference between frimpong and trent in terms of defending is that frimpong will at least try to defend ☺
