  1. I mean these guys are so weird, a player fart and they make him to be Messi. he is an average player with a $100 million tag

  2. I think this is as fair and balanced analysis of Grealish as I've heard. All this attention partly because he has a 100 mil release clause

  3. Jack is NOT a 300K / week Player, we are paying 300k to KDB and Haaland. Is Grealish in the same league as these two? Not a chance, an average player who is low in confidence, overrated because he is English! Sorry. 150K is a max this fellow deserves.

  4. Nedum is spot on, he's gone from one of the most loved English players to one of the most hated… It's more than the price tag though, it's because he signed for City(we saw the same with Stones and especially Sterling). Football fans are fickle, petty and downright irrational at times. I think it's fair to say Aston Villa overvalued him with their release clause and City probably should have waited before pulling the trigger. At least for the level he was at the time he was bought from Villa(those saying he's become worse don't have a clue). City have one of the most in depth scouting processes in football though. There's no way they bought him expecting 15 goals and 15 assists in his first season when he's never done anything like that at Villa. Pep and the coaching staff will have known it was a player he would have work with to improve. The comparisons to Mahrez and Bernardo are somewhat fair, I don't think he's learning as fast as they did. Maybe their football IQ/knowledge of the game was already at a higher level and/or maybe he's just a slower learner(would that be such a big deal if he still gets there a season slower?). It is worth pointing out that Jack's career path is pretty different, he had only known one club from youth football to senior professional. Bernardo and Mahrez had very different paths, their first big move wasn't their first experience of adjusting to a new club. They'd already experienced higher standards of coaching, as well as CL football and title wins with their clubs. Grealish spent 3 seasons in the Championship with Villa, and they'd only been promoted for 2 seasons before he signed for City.

Lastly, I also think people are forgetting the clamour there was surrounding him as a celebrity before he made the switch. Like it or not, these things have a value in the commercial world of football. The people City have in charge of this side are no mugs(some of the best in the business), they'd have factored this in. I don't even know if it matters if he is hated at the moment or not in a commercial sense, he's still one of the most talked about PL players, Pogba, Rooney, Beckham all went through long periods of that too. Pogba and Lukaku cost in excess of £100m too when you factor in their agent fees, bonuses and image rights paid by their clubs, so I don't even know why some are claiming it's unheard of that players that expensive could flop(those did, Grealish could still make it under Pep, he has the right attitude).

  5. Sane was battered for being "inconsistent" whenm he was at city even when he was their best player at times, while Girlish can be as poor as he wants on the left wing, its a disgusting double standered as a city fan

  6. Jack is being hated bc he is missing sitters haha. Look at the man city game against leeds. He missed an absolute sitter where he just had to pass it to the goal and he just skied it
