      he took advantage of spaces created by messi and suarez at earlier career, but even at that time, he didn't create space for himself or others. he's no dribbler. he s more of a finisher that can exploit space made by OTHERS.

      Barca has a nasty habit of trying to control narratives. They say Ansu Fati trained too hard after his operation and that was why he had recurring injuries. Not true. I remember the first game after the operation and the doctors advised that he shouldn't play more than 30 minutes. They advised he should be eased back gradually but Xavi played him 60 minutes and he was injured again.
      10 goals in that season with such limited time was great considering Raphina also scored 10 goals that same session.
      Xavi should have shown more confidence with Ansu. Simple

      If he can evolve in to a strong False 9 by playing alot with Monaco then all the better for Barca to replace Lewy. Or to rotate with Nico on LW.

      A pivotal moment in all of this was with Xavi. In Xavi’s first full season where he won the league, Ansu’s numbers weren’t the best but still somewhat decent for how in and out of the starting lineup he was. His confidence seemed down at the time, but by preseason the next season, he seemed to have gained some of it back and had even struck a good linkup with Balde down the left. When it came time for Xavi to put faith in him and restore his confidence even more, he was sent out on loan, which wouldn’t have helped at all. De Zerbi did show a lot of faith in him to be fair, but when he started to gain momentum, the injuries hit again.
