Lewis isn't even in the city's top 20 players.
City will make top 4 at best next season. Pep doesn't have the minerals anymore to get this team back to its best.

Not blessed with pace, dribbling, eye for a pass or goal, not a defender, maybe a CAM, and for sure not a winger in our squad! His best trait is he’s home grown?!
Ruben Dias and Akanji are not good to defend counterattack and very poor in aerial duel. If Pep keep using these two on regular basis, city is going to suffer for it

Sadly, Rico Lewis just isn't good enough as RB for City. But, he knows the system, and above all, he's home grown. So I see City's reasoning in resigning him. But we need a proper RB. Hopefully we get Tino Livramento through the door.

Ruben Dias is playing like a 40 yrs old man, he can't seem to get the ball off Young centre forward of same age as he's. Very sluggish he ,Akanji and Ederson might be our demise. Can't trust those three against elite forwards
To me, Viana has to have full authority on the players in the squad. Pep has shown time & again his default setting is to play veteran players. If Nico G, Khusanov, O'Reilly, Bobb, & Reis aren't given the playing time to develope… They will not reach their potential.
Lewis isn’t good enough, not strong enough for the midfield and not great when defending.
Ruben Dias is a faithful servant. However, he needs to get back to the form we saw a couple of seasons back.
Lewis is much better as a midfielder. That is where he excels.
