In the baseball world, 2022 was The Year of Aaron Judge. It was the year of Aaron Judge MVP and Aaron Judge 62 homers. After all, the Aaron Judge home run record, at least for the American League, is one of the game’s greatest accomplishments in recent years. This past season necessitated the signing of a record-breaking Aaron Judge contract, as the Yankees sought to retain his services after some hard fought Aaron Judge negotiations. But that’s what you get when you have the greatest MLB season since Barry Bonds.

The Year of Judge did not end with a New York Yankees World Series or Aaron Judge Triple Crown. The Astros and Luis Arraez put a stop to that. But it will still be remembered for the moment Judge breaks Maris record. Just please ignore everything Roger Maris Jr. has said since the record fell. Of course, 62 was just one of the Aaron Judge 2022 highlights. In this episode of Baseball Bits, a Foolish Baseball production, I point out the Aaron Judge walkoff vs the Blue Jays as a pivotal moment. I also make sure to respect the Aaron Judge defense in centerfield.

  1. Not only did Judge Maris, he also joined McGwire, Sosa and Bonds as guys to hit 60 or more homers and NOT win a title. Maris and the Yankees won it all in 1961, while Babe Ruth and the Yankees won in 1927. All other 60+ homer seasons (Bonds in 2001; McGiwre in 1998 and '99; Sosa in '98, '99 and 2001 and Judge last year) all ended up ringless.

  2. I really hope judge isn't disappointed he didn't watch some of these much as they happened. If there was ever a time where NO ONE would care if you just stood at the plate staring, it was this run

  3. Is it just me or has there been a massive drop in the goodness foolish's content recently. maybe hes running out of ideas? this one was decent but the past ones have not been good at all

  4. So I hate the fucking Yankees. But I Hate Steroid users even more. So with that being said in my mind he has the most HR in a single season
