Iran’s Carlos Queiroz (2011-2019) | Thank You Coach! [Final Part]

Carlos Queiroz and Team Melli don’t qualify to the round of 16 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Iran exit the tournament with 4 points ( from Group B: Morocco, Spain and Portugal). They were only a goal away from the knockout stages. While Iran continues to deal with political sanctions, Carlos Queiroz prepares Team Melli for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.

Carlos Queiroz is the only head coach to qualify Iran to 2 consecutive World Cups. Under Queiroz, Team Melli qualified to the World Cup as group leaders on both occasions (Qualification to the 2014 & 2018 FIFA World Cups). Iran have had their longest undefeated streak with Carlos Queiroz. He is also the longest reigning head coach in Iran’s football history. Having united what many argue as Iran’s golden generation, after a 20 year time gap.
