In tennis serve is about 50% of the match. If you have 130 miles/hr serve, you have practically guaranty to "hold" your serve, i.e. win 50% of the match. Then you need just a little more success on his serve to win all matches. In American football a quarterback is about 50% of the win. Brady is just a little younger than me (Hehe) and he has been winning the playoffs for the last 10 years, regardless what team he plays for. In English football, IMHO the goal keeper is also ~ 50% of the team.
Rafael started last year brilliantly. But this year, the opponents realized that he stands on the goal line in the center like a "potted plant" (being only 6'-1", which is on the shorter side for a keeper) and they were scoring from free kicks, from corner kicks, from afar… Then he got injured and Luke got the chance. What a run, he got, so far! "Flying Luke". After one of his saves, he pointed with his point finger to his head. Smart goal keeper. Indeed. He flies with fast balls/ levitates in the air, but he also commands the defense, he is constantly moving, "cutting the angles" for the attacking players and he is unbelievably brave… To the point that I am worrying about him. The other players and the referee must protect his health.
