  1. This game really demonstrated the difference between peak south American football and peak European football. Not because bayern was so much better than flamengo, rather the goals flamengo conceded were just so soft. An own goal and 3 more goals because they lost the ball due to bayern's press in the final 3rd. Bayern didnt even press so hard and intensely, and that's exactly the point. They almost didnt need to play as hard, but moderately good press was able to win them 3 goals.

  2. creating a competition that pits Europe against America makes no sense, it's not at all the same level, we are only in the eighth and all the best American teams are eliminated… it makes us European teams waste time, we are coming out of an entire season we have chained 4 competitions at the same time and we still haven't had a vacation despite that we still win in this competition

  3. Flamengo played well for large chunks of the game. Too naive in defense and too bad a goalie. Bayern’s counter-pressing was crucial, it’s a very good team constantly thinking offensively.
