This game really demonstrated the difference between peak south American football and peak European football. Not because bayern was so much better than flamengo, rather the goals flamengo conceded were just so soft. An own goal and 3 more goals because they lost the ball due to bayern's press in the final 3rd. Bayern didnt even press so hard and intensely, and that's exactly the point. They almost didnt need to play as hard, but moderately good press was able to win them 3 goals.
If the brazilians kept calm and dind't brag so much like they did for just pass a group stage …

Flamengo played well for large chunks of the game. Too naive in defense and too bad a goalie. Bayern’s counter-pressing was crucial, it’s a very good team constantly thinking offensively.
