Andreas Christensen (Dan. Andreas Christensen; born April 10, 1996, in Lillerode, Denmark) is a Danish footballer, defender of Chelsea London and the Danish national team.

Andreas Christensen was born in Lillerod, Denmark. Started playing football at Brøndby Academy, where he spent eight years and attracted the attention of the best clubs in Europe such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich. On 7 February 2012, Christensen signed with Chelsea as a free agent, at the end of André Villas-Boas’s tenure as the club’s head coach. After joining Chelsea, Christensen said, “I chose Chelsea because they play football that I love.” On May 19, 2013, Andreas was first included in the main squad for the match of the 38th round of the Premier League against Everton (2: 1), but did not appear on the field. After the end of the 2012/13 season, Christensen was part of the main squad on a pre-season US tour and signed his first professional contract. In 2014 he helped his club win the FA Youth Cup and the Youth Premier League. He made his Chelsea debut in the official game on 28 October 2014 in the Football League Cup 4 round match against Shrewsbury Town (2-1), playing 90 minutes in the starting lineup at right-back.

On July 10, 2015, Christensen transferred to Bundesliga Borussia Mönchengladbach on a two-season loan. He made his debut for the Foals in the German Cup 1st round match against St. Pauli on 10 August 2015, which ended with a 4-1 victory. On August 15, he made his debut in the Bundesliga, leaving for the first round match against Borussia Dortmund (0: 4), played the entire match on the field. On February 5, he scored two goals against Werder Bremen (5: 1), these goals were the first for him in his professional career.
