  1. No one in the world will ever understand that stats and trophies are not everything…
The way he controls is something I haven't seen since the last decade

  2. As much as I love Pedri, I have a question: Why nobody talks about Vitinha? He's a game changer, I watched UCL final he was the one who always fueled PSG attack, he got off the bench in match against Portugal, It was 1:0 for Germany and the match ended 2:1 for Portugal

  3. When I think of the best mid fielders I don’t think rice and Odegaard I think Wirtz and Musiala these guys are the true entertainers nothing can beat German engineering

  4. This season, Pedri (excluding Copa del Rey and Supercopa because they don't have xG and xA for them on Sofascore) has scored 4 with just 2.59xG, and only 7 assists while having 11.84xA. This means he although rarely shoots, he usually makes the most out of his chance. Meanwhile, he provides lots of quality chances to his teammate but they got wasted quite a lot.

  5. Pedri paradox? The Xavi/Iniesta paradox. Won't be appreciated fully until he retires because he's not a stats merchant.

  6. Its a crazy thing to think, but it could've been possible for Barcelona to perform even better if Lewandowski had a higher conversion rate, or there was a striker who had a higher conversion rate than him. Lewandowski is absolutely amazing for his age, possibly better than when Ronaldo was his age, but when you see the matches, you can't help but notice as much as he scores goals, he misses a lot of chances too. That's natural, of course, but it happened often enough that I wondered how many more assists Pedri could've gotten if the passes he made were finished off with a goal more often.

Pedri has 5 assists this season (83rd percentile), but 9.64 expected assists (96th percentile) and 69 key passes (also 96th percentile). Bellingham might have more assists this season than Pedri, but he actually has less expected assists, despite having more actual assists to begin with, and he also has less key passes.

  7. Pedri is an incredible player and in my opinion the best midfielder In the world, however I don’t think the Madrid fans are wrong to say that stats are more important than opinion. Once again I don’t think Bellingham is better but until there are stats that prove pedris better it’s hard to argue
