  1. I've seen this mentioned a few times today, it's probably a load of rubbish but if it was true I'm 50/50 on this one cos the man has experience and quality but has lost his way in recent years, the move to Chelsea was his downfall and his loan at Arsenal was a disaster but u could treat Sterling as a premier league version of another Clarke and Roberts, someone that's lost there way and we can get there careers back on track, for a Newly promoted side I suppose u can't really say no but it all depends on attitude and commitment

  2. Think he's more likely to go to Saudi or MLS, like all signings I would welcome them if he does come but I'm very apprehensive about him.

  3. C’mon guys, if we have a chance of signing him we take it- on loan maybe
Who wouldn’t have had Sterling in the last transfer window??

  4. I have a list of who is out and loan out poveda Abdul samed, jay matete ,pembele ,triantis , aouchie rusyn ba on loan seelt aleksic Ahmet abdullahi and semedo we need to 7 new player better than current squad 2 winger 1 striker good one 1 centre back 1 defender midfield 1 attack midfield and 1 left back i will take sterling all day long if he is wage right no way stay up this premier our attack option

  5. £300,000 a week at Chelsea. There ain't a cat's chance in hell he would come to Sunderland. 30 years old and motivated by money. He will probably be tapped up by the Saudi's. If Sunderland were to entertain a big money offer for Sterling, they would do better putting a lot of money towards getting Diallo back in the squad. Sterling cost Chelsea £47M and wages of £300K a week! Warmed Arsenal's bench last season and he suffered with knee damage and hamstring. This is not the right winger that we are looking for. Have we not learned anything from buying put out to pasture footballers? Got to think better and remember the model. The only aging footballers I would have at SAFC are Erikson or Henderson.

Get in Cameron Archer before it's too late FFS! Sterling, meh…

    SAFC!

  6. Crazy how gullible people are. On what planet are we going to sign sterling? Seen the wage hes on. Hardly going to take a huge paycut to come and fight relegation. Hes on 300+ grand a week ffs. We wont offer anywhere near 100 for a player whos struggled the last couple year.

  7. Not for me I'm afraid:-
    1. Past his best
    2. His fee and / or wages plus his age would undo the model.

We must not get sucked into buying for buying's sake. Keep the faith with young players. We got there with them…let's break the Prem model and stay up without going into a shed load of debt. HWTL. 🔴⚪🔴⚪

  8. More chance of signing Messi and Ronaldo the silence is deafening from Speakman however to be fair he is waiting for the free transfer window to open.
