Off the football pitch, Ottawa’s Jonathan David is quiet, humble & unassuming. But on the field, he’s becoming one of the best young scorers on the planet. The story of his rapid rise from obscurity to stardom is our TSN Original – Iceman – with Rick Westhead.
I'm a Gent fan and I remember when they got him. In his first few games, he came on as a sub with 10-15 min left, and scored almost every single time, as an 18-year old. Who does that?? Only those with boundless talent and potential. Wasn't long before he became the best player at the club and a year later the league. Sad to see him go but he deserves it (and can't complain about the 35 million we got for a free transfer), he'll destroy the Mickey Mouse Ligue 1 and then move on to a real football giant.
I was very impressed with how he's played at Gent, and hopefully the move to Lille continues his development. Would love to see himat Liverpool in a year or two. Perfect fit in our 9/false 9 system. He and Klopp would be a fantastic pairing.
I played against Jonathan when he was with the Ottawa Internationals. He was 15 years old playing against my men's university team… and he tore our defence to shreds. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this kid.
I knew him personally when he was 3 years old back in Haiti …. His mother is The Godmother of my little brother. I am very proud of him that he became a world class soccer player . One of the Best in the world

Saw the title. Thought it was the one and only Iceman Kimi Räikkönen. Was let down even though i used to watch some football before 2010s

Mrs David saw a star rising,
We see him too, Rose. All 37 million of us.
This is the golden age of Canadian soccer, the best talent ever in Jonathon David, Alphonso Davies, and Cyle Larin.
Jonathan David has more goals this season than Mbappe, Neymar and Messi combined in Ligue 1
Arsenal sign this Thierry admirer. I love him already, Vlahovic doesn't love Arsenal.
Come to arsenal my man 🙏
Hope he comes to Arsenal seeing how he's linked with us, he seems to be an Henry fan which is fantastic for us!
