Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is keen to take West ham United striker Niclas Füllkrug to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium as he wants to add a physical striker to his talented squad. The Spaniard wants experience and link up play to from a number 9 to benefit the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappé. The Hammers paid over £20m to Dortmund last summer but Graham Potter requires money to fund a rebuild during the summer transfer window

  1. I forgot to add Potters preference to this potential sale…….I feel it is fair to suggest Fullkrugs outburst didn't go down well with him so perhaps moving him on may be Potters preference this summer, have to wait and see, I guess.

Anyway thank you for tuning in, here are the three links you may need

I will catch up with you in the comments, these could be interesting as I think it will split the subscribers!

  2. I wouldn't have a season ticket given. Miserable season ahead in a soulless, pointless, library of a stadium. I'd only get slightly excited if there were 3or4 academy players in every starting line up, not the just the squad. But at least we'll have Antonio as first choice striker to watch AGAIN.

  3. Fulkrug is a great CF! I rate steidton for attracting him here, but if we can get some big bucks for him, I’ll take it! Because we never know when he can sustain a serious injury

  4. A timely way out to offload Fullkrug and for him to reach one of the elite teams. He has no lasting attachment to our club, wouldn't begrudge him if he went.

  5. It would be a good move for big Nick…I don’t think Potter knows how to incorporate him to get the best out of him and a final big payday in sunny Spain will be hard to turn down.

  6. I don't mind 3 at the back… Xabi Alonso's at Leverkusen was amazing 👏 Alonso know how to set up a team. We don't… we're shit and we don't know what we're doing unfortunately.

All I can do it pray COYI

  7. Fulle would be a great addition to Real Madrid. I would imagine their strategy will be to underbid considerably knowing that. Fulle always speaks his mind. And I don’t think there’s any question that he would make it clear in the public that he wants to go to Madrid. And given we have no one I would think we would do this pretty early and take a loss.

  8. I understand he's not young but are we realistically going to sell a German striker for 15 million while contemplating taking a 35 year old Jamaican on a further year contract?

  9. Sorry, I think Fullkrug has been an absolute waste of money, he has been prone his whole career and does score enough. Hope that this is true , cannot wait for him to go….I'll help him pack his bags

  10. Geo, I don't comprehend why, EVERY player with rumours to be on way out, every content creators WH TV says, we won't get X for him, or will be luck to get Y for him. Many WH CC's said, Rice is no worth £100 mil. Fullkrug worth €23 mil imo. It'd be happy for him to stay.

  11. Rather he was still with us next season. But if he goes to RM good luck to him, but we will want a good amount of money for him.

  12. Geo, if we purchase a player for £15 mil, on a 3 year deal, paying in 3 yearly installments. With 1 year remaining on contract, we sell that player for £6 mill. Why do many see that as a loss instead of a £3 mil gain. Are we not just renting players services for 3 years. 🙄🙄🤔🤔

  13. I’d like him to stay, we have a better shape with him, but I can see it happening, question is could we get an adequate replacement for him?? Probably not 😢⚒️

  14. i think something else to consider about fullkrug and just in general the value of "cheaper" (i know fullkrug wont be cheap to some but for real he likely be) players who can sit on the bench and be brought on to see out games to protect your stars who are playing 40 50 60 games in the season. hopefully that makes sense? its a new line of thinking iv been asking myself why we dont see it more often with the mega clubs

  15. Totally agree with Geo that Fulkrug makes a ton of sense in Alonso’s squad. He seemingly fits in both a front two and in front of the double 10s, which were formations Alonso was known to flip flop between at Leverkusen.

Conversely, I also believe that Fulkrug, if in the squad next year, will feature much more under Potter. If he hadn’t had that injury setback in that first Potter game against Villa, then I think he would have been much more involved during the second half of the season. Additionally, with a rebuilt midfield, I think Fulkrug is the type of link up striker that seemingly fits with models that Potter used at Brighton.

However, I’m conflicted because Fulkrug isn’t getting any younger and has injury problems. And, part of me feels like selling him now, to a big money, champions league club, is probably the highest valuation we will see from Fulkrug in a West Ham shirt. If we are looking for a youth-filled overhaul and need an injection of cash to start getting the wheels moving, it’d be tough to pass up the opportunity and see this as a net profit (as opposed to watching him walk in a few years on a free).

  16. I want to see Fullkrug here next season. Not as our only No.9 obviously. He will be a different player injury free and with a full pre-season behind him

  17. This season i think Fulkrug is better than anyone we could attract to the club without paying stupid money. Keep unless we get a really good offer because it'll cost us a packet for an average striker….and it'd have to be more than 15 because realistically, whos coming to us for less if its a costs for cost signing

  18. Astonishes me that people don't rate him, this doesn't surprise me that other clubs are looking, he looked the perfect target man at times last season, his touch is tight. Injuries and his age being a negative, could be a good opportunity to cut losses and start again on the forward front. Does Potter see him fitting into his way?

  19. I think it’s the money that’s the issue with Fullkrug. He’s a bit injury prone and he’s not a guaranteed starter. And if you’re going to be in that position in the squad you can’t cost that much and not only did we pay a big(ish) fee he’s got probably on really high wages. We’re essentially back to having another expensive alternative striker like we had with Ings. Albeit a decent one on his day. If they make an offer I’d rip their arm off.

  20. Hi, Geo, good to be back and hear your dulcet tones. Fulkrug: I cannot explain why, but I have a feeling we should keep him. I saw enough last year, to believe used frequently and correctly, his forthright demeanour on and off the pitch could be a real pain in the arse to other teams while he is experienced enough to snatch more than a few half chances. Back in 22 his injury record was good. He has had a rough few years with calf and hamstring, but perhaps there is one more season left in the old dog yet, given we have real needs elsewhere…who knows, more service from an upgraded midfield could see him blossom.

  21. Too many of our "fans" think you have to be an Olympic sprinter & have a team full of big names . They are all cogs In a machine. Fullkrug is another player the coaches never used properly or enough . We have a history of failure to get the full potential of the players

  22. KEEP THEM ALL.

Doesn't matter who we sell or sign if Potter is in charge. We're going to finish 14th or lower ANYWAY.

Keep them all until they pull their finger out, sack Potter and bring in a manager who isn't a glorified P.E teacher to manage the squad.
