Raphinha and Salah.
This is not new in Barcelona. Academy products, even mediocre ones, are hyped to high heaven while purchased players never seem to get the same place in fans' hearts. Very few players, like Dani Alves, get to break that ceiling. Everyone still remembers that 2016/17 UCL game vs PSG which was a Neymar carryjob and next day the papers had a front and centre picture of Messi.
It's no secret that European judges, media, or whatever you want to call it, prefer to focus on the amazing European player instead of the Latino player who is dominating the league… The same thing happened with Vinicius Jr., it's all about Eurocentrism and how they create excuses to divert the spotlight to one of them, in this case Lamine Yamal.
(I'm not saying Lamine is overrated or anything like that, he is a phenomenal player, but unfortunately it's a bias problem)
His own team is betraying him. Barca is looking to push the agenda that La Masia produces the best talents, so they just tossed Raphinha aside.
While Pedri & Yamal were figuring themselves out, it was Raphinha who carried the team. But recency bias is at it's all time high

Yall forgot salah's incredible season, and people barely made videos about it. Salah was probably the most hated and ignored player for the bdor. Raphinha and Salah probably have similiar case but Yall do need to understand Salah was the only Player who had no support and fought alone. Barca had Pedri, Yamal, Lewa , Raphinha. PSG had Doue, Dembele, Vitinha, Donna. Liverpool was carried by one and only salah. He deserves much more respect

He's 28, everyone else who is talked about in world football is 25 or below we have a great generation coming up. Raphina wasn't a top tier player until now, people don't expect it to last. But if a young player looks good, you can assume or hope it lasts. That's why Lamine is 50x more hyped, bcos Raphina was a dog at the age Lamine is now.
Vini and Rapha, had any of they won, Brasil would have any recognition again. And Europe don't want that, doing everything to always erase other continent historys in Football. Dembele and Yamal are only getting this shouts because they are European, this season they don't played anything really close to Raphinha and Salah.

Football isn’t just G/A. Raphinha does deserve more attention no doubt about it. But just like Mo Salah this season and in his debut season. The individual award are defined 60% in what you do in the last few months of the season.
Simeone mentioned how in 2 months what he felt was one of their better seasons ended with nothing substantial.
Those being considered are the players who were not just good from the start but great especially in the end.
While Raphinha has the G/A in the knock out games. He definitely didn’t pass the eye test. Yamal doesn’t have the G/A but definitely passed the eye test which prompted people to look into his earlier games.
Don’t be surprised if Raphinha rotated with Olmo playing CAM next season.
When it’s all said and done he was one of the best players across the season and should definitely be top 3.

I've been saying, Raphinia should win it. I want Yamal to win it because I want the youngest player to win it, be a record that will never be broken, but Raphinia deserves it more.

Raphina's numbers are incredible. But if you watch the games Lamine Yamal is just better in my opinion. Also in important games I think Lamine numbers are almost better probably than Raphinas. For example Lamine scored vs Inter and hit 3 posts even though they lost, he almost won the series alone…

That La Liga Awards is snub is completely fine. Raphinha was good in the league. But Pedri, Yamal, Lewandowski, Mbappe and countless players outside the big 3(no Atleti player should be in contention)were better than him.

It's just his first season of major performance. The world will warm up to him if he is consistent and regulates his emotions better. The sad quietude of his achievements owes to his personality's reflection on his performance. He should never underestimate the power of PR. A good PR can put him in the spotlight even if he underperforms. If performs like this next season, the world would have no choice.
As a barça fan ,I want raphina to win it but since everybody forgot about him .Then i have to support Yamal because he has a more chance of winning and I want it to be a barça plaayer.
If you watch Barcelona you know why. Raphinha has that last touch great pass or shot but you turn on TV for Lamine. Raphinha spar is like 5% of Lamine. In game he s like any other winger but with much better numbers. Lamine is something we didn t see up to this date

Unfortunatly, people rn are focused on Yamal due to his age, and Dembelé for his last performances and for the psg UCL victory. In fact, if we see the first half of the 24/25 season, Raphinha has done A LOT better than Dembelé. People are hyping the french because he did much in the end of the season and forgotting what Raphinha has done since the semifinals of the UCL.

Its not about doing dirty. Its about Our usual play. After neymar we never had someone to look after the left flank. Its balde who's been covering the left flank deep to a point. Raphinha is more of a inside from left wing. We really need someone very creative from left side. Imagine 3 players covering lamine and nico in the left. Balde was the key to unlock raphinha.
