Frenkie de Jong (born 12 May 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for La Liga club Barcelona and the Netherlands national team.
Frenkie de Jong’s most famous nickname is “the next Xavi” or “Andres Iniesta”. This nickname was given because his playing style is similar to the two legendary Barcelona midfielders, especially when he played for Ajax Amsterdam and then joined Barcelona. He is also known by his short nickname, “Frenkie”.
