England’s football problems are piling up – from dull tactics to underwhelming performances. In this video, I analyse why England’s recent form under Thomas Tuchel is worrying, why blaming Gareth Southgate no longer cuts it and whether the so-called new ‘golden generation’ is just another overhyped squad and why they’ll fail at the World Cup. This is my brutally honest take on England.

  1. It's like watching a group of strangers thrown together. I don't understand what's being said on the training pitch? Are they just left to it?

  2. Crazy to still be picking Walker and Henderson. Dropped a bollock as well by picking Toney and (rightly) being criticised for doing so, only to ignore him when we needed a goal.

  3. It's hard to find anything to disagree with here! But it's an age old question – why these players look like stars in their club form, but seem to lose all confidence when playing in an England shirt.

  4. Is there something inherently lacking in the English psyche that means we cannot consistently perform at an international level? Or is it just a lack of ability and poor tactics? Talking about the blokes, obviously.
