  1. I don’t think Pedro would improve the squad, I’m disappointed at the calibre of players we have been linked with so far this window.

  2. He's a brilliant player and the fact half of the fanbase don't want him says everything. I remember them all complaining about Gordon, Barnes, Joelinton, Burn, Livramento, Hall and the list continues on and on.. The worst part is that no matter how many times they're proven demonstrably wrong, they keep standing up objecting to everything. They're like a weeble.

  3. Being ‘linked’ with joao Pedro means it’s the summer transfer window again Chris, nothings actually happening so desperate clueless journalists or churnalists go back to the playbook from previous windows, I said the next ‘link’ would be elanga and right on cue. Next we could go really classic and go 2007 – Ryan babel – or hey maybe 2011 – Gervinho! I know you have to create content but honestly maybe read us a poem or debut a new barber jacket or something, because covering this club during transfer time is a non event and then some. Though I’m on tender hooks till they announce Wilson’s new contract. How to make yourself indispensable at Newcastle – be eddies mate.

  4. Not going to pay £60m for him when they wouldn't for Mbuemo allegedly the first choice. I know he won't get £250.000 a wk that Mbuemo was supposedly asking but cant see this one happening.

  5. Pedro is a good player and could give us an option as you say to change formation and breakdown low blocks. You would get better value in europe but its riskier.

  6. Pedro – He's young and raw, but has all the relevant attributes, perfect for Eddie, and I think he'd be an utter brilliant purchase, if he wants it and buys in to our culture of team!

  7. I think Pedro could do a good job for us, Attitude maybe an issue yes but end of the day we have such a good vibe in our dressing room I dont think we will see that rising its head and he be fine. Pricey yes but end of the day the cost of this may be the difference in progressing out of the first group in the CL by either him playing or rotating keeping Isak fit which in essence the transfer will contribute the cost to itself if makes sense. all the best.

  8. Two players we are linked with part of Eddie's "Small Pool" of players he's mentioned in the past.
The trouble is it will be extremely difficult to get these targets from English clubs due to prices, wages etc
Brighton are notorious to deal with wanting top dollar for players, we could have had this kid for 30 million a few years back!

Forest will dig their heels in when it comes to Elanga wanting at least 50 million for him.
I just hope we are not on the precipice of many a saga that go nowhere!

  9. Squad needs better quality…he fits the criteria…get it done and don't dwindle., 60 mill is ridiculous price tho…let's hope he's not a nobhead

  10. I’m coming round to the idea of bringing in 3 or 4 players who to me might seem decent but perhaps a bit underwhelming. Eddie knows exactly the pool of qualities he looks for in a player: speed, athleticism, physique, flexibility, character, etc. They don’t need to tick every box or necessarily have the very highest level technique but I trust Howe to get the absolute maximum from that type of player – and increase their value.

  11. If 60m is true we are the biggest mugs in the Pl again

Out of favor player dropped for a 70 year old Danny welbeck and we’re prepared to double thier money on him.

When we have a small budget and are desperate for a CB and RW.

    Let’s hope it’s nonsense

  12. I think he would be a good addition and his versatility would be extremely useful. The Wilson one is difficult to reconcile even with a new 'pay as you play' contract. Let's face it, he's not going to get much game time, and in that scenario, he's going to massively lack match fitness and sureness of touch. As has been said before, the club and particularly Eddie need to be ruthless in terms of moving players on who simply aren't good enough or up to it anymore…

  13. I'd be really happy with Pedro. I've always thought we could do with a player with the ability to play in the 10 role ethier as 2 up or him in the hole behind would be a great tool to have plus he's Brazilian so will link up well with Bruno and J7 and tonali he is every striker dream midfielder

  14. I really think we need to bolster the squad with reinforcements to compete on both fronts next season, rather than focus specifically on areas of deficiency if we can source versatile players like Pedro

  15. Hallo Lad's…

Get him in. To join his fellow countrymen, Bruno, & Joelinton…

If, being the operative word, reports are true. Eddie is prepared to change the formation, to aquire him. Plus to assist us, in e.g, low block teams…

Love to see him, think hes a cracking player…✅️

Edit: Totally agree on Ramano. People put so much trust in him, esp, manure fans.
When, more often than not hes wrong..
Definitely got a breakaway 6, agenda as well…☑️

  16. Brighton will rinse us in this transfer if it happens, which i seriously doubt will happen. Eddie only wants track stars, abilty at breaking down defenses and end product is not required, just see the elanga possible transfer for proof. Disgrace of a window so far. Why are we shopping for players in the premier league, the inflated price for players is nuts.

  17. I've calmed down about the lack of activity so far in the last couple of days. We're not a club who can rush out and make big money signings as soon as the window opens, despite Eddie saying how important it is to move fast. I'm warming to the idea of Elanga and/or Joao Pedro now, and I'm sure later in the window we'll bring in a major signing from overseas that none of us have even thought about yet.

  18. We need players to transform the club, half hearting it won't cut it for a team that wants to compete for European football year in year out.

  19. This is definitely a make or break summer, we’ve so far been really poor and slow, targets seem to be getting snagged by other clubs and we seem to be just watching like chris said.

  20. Completrly agree with you about Fabrizio.

As for Pedro, I've been a fan since i first saw him play… I do worry about any player who reportedly has attitude problems, but I think wor Bruno + Big Joe will keep him in check lol
