Nottingham Forest’s transfer saga takes a twist as Danilo’s proposed €25m (£21m) move to Lyon faces complications, despite a bid confirmed by Fabrizio Romano! The Brazilian midfielder, who joined Forest from Palmeiras for £16-18m in 2023, is reportedly unhappy with a clause in the deal that could see him return to Botafogo—owned by Lyon’s John Textor—in the future, as he’d prefer a move back to Palmeiras if returning to Brazil. With Forest’s triple Botafogo signing (Igor Jesus, Jair Cunha, and Cuiabano) nearing completion, the club is keen to balance the books, but Danilo’s reluctance could stall the transfer.

Hmmm sounds really really over complicated by textor and if true sounds like textor does not want him for OL but as a makeweight, Danilo is not a pos to be disrespected like this and i cannot blame his stance. On a happier note id love Yilmaz to be Garibaldi he is class n could play in a two up front in a 3-5-2 with the lineout being Sels, M+M+ Cuhna in def CHO WILLIAMS ANDERSON AINA ELANGA in mf Jesus Yilmaz up top. Anderson in middle of the 5 wingbacks either side CHO ELANGA out wide so its a fluid 3-5-2 with wingbacks when needed making a 5-3-2. Thatd be my dream team. UR’ssss

Danilo is good on the ball and can score goals but defensively isn't tenacious enough, he doesn't get tight or close down properly and doesn't smell the danger e.g. fa cup semi final for man city's goal he didn't seem switched on
